Hey. This was originally a defensive maneuver to sit on the domain, but it exists now so might as well be vain.

My parents immigrated to the US from Europe and Asia; they met while doing their PhDs at Berkeley. My last name is an unhyphenated union of theirs. I've always been proud to be from an international yet distinctly American family.

I mostly grew up in Seattle and went to university in California. Post-grad, I've been in New York, with time in Paris and the West Coast.

I built a social prediction platform in middle school with a few thousand active users. This was before prediction markets were a thing, and I didn't have the foresight to facillitate insider trading. I ran it through high school and loved connecting with people from around the world.

After a few more years of working on consumer social apps and companies, during university I interned at Snap in the Santa Monica HQ. I returned full-time as an iOS engineer in New York, where I was lucky to work with and befriend many ultra-talented people. I grew a ton as a person there, shipped many products I'm proud of, and will always be thankful for the experience.

I then took the chance to join a prototyping team for the AI/ML org at Apple. As a kid, I fell in love with technology because of craft, and if I'm being honest, largely because of Steve. It may sound/be obnoxious, but it was a real privilege to see product engineering machine from the inside. I have deep respect for Apple!

Throughout my life, it has been impossible to avoid entrepreneurship, and after a brief stint at Facebook, I started a new company. My co-founder Levi is still fighting the good fight and I'm honored he chose to work with me. We became YC alum as part of it.
